Generative soundscape patches — modular wirings that run live in the browser. Each schematic is the actual signal path.
Tending the ServersThe sound of the Bureau at rest. Deep, dark, oceanic generative ambient with time-of-day brightness.Fog LiturgySacred-industrial. Formant sub-bass choir, metallic chime with underwater delay, breathing noise fog.Tender MachineryInteractive resonator patch. The site as a stringed instrument — responds to mouse, scroll, click, hover, idle.Membrane SignalSparse modal notes through membrane resonator with freeze-on-silence behavior. The 3 AM layer.Overgrown ArchiveIndustrial↔organic crossfade. Low drone and frozen biological textures merge through ring modulation.Specimen ObservationHigh-frequency micro-textures with burst/pause behavior. Cellular-scale crackling through CRT degradation. The Commit LogSparse FM notes with accumulating ghost buffer. 5-minute cycles of accretion and clearing.Maintenance WindowClassic dubtechno — Basic Channel register. 118 BPM dub kick, detuned chord stabs dissolving into dotted-eighth delay fog.Packet LossGranular clicks and cuts — brittle micro-rhythms, metallic plate pings, buffer-freeze stutters over a broken pulse.Deep BerthDubtechno v2 — 117 BPM dub kick under real Plaits chords. A locked Turing loop walks the root while the stabs dissolve into dotted-eighth delay fog.Terraforming ReportSelf-evolving generative ambient — a slow Tides drone rings sympathetic strings while a Turing loop plucks sparse pentatonic notes into granular haze. No rhythm, only weather.Decay ArchiveBasinski loop decay — a wavetable drone re-recorded through a looping granular deck whose feedback rises until the loop eats itself, then heals. Tape rot on a 3-4 minute cycle.CrosstalkIndustrial dub — Warps ring-modulates a sparse four-on-floor against clock-gated chord stabs. Metallic sidebands smeared by dotted-eighth delay over a dry pulse and a sub.Night ShiftTuring melody study — a near-locked 16-step register plucks a slowly mutating pentatonic line on a Plaits string, over sparse broken drums and a bed of hiss.Fog Liturgy IISacred-industrial, second service — the chime re-cast as a continuously bowed Elements voice and the fog as an octave-shimmer OLIVERB hall, over the same formant sub-bass choir. Bowed, not struck; shimmering, not frozen.Navigator StudySix wavetable voices on an expedition through the 3D cube. Slow browse sweeps, drifting depth, a chord that breathes.Second QuarterDeadbeat-style breathing chord — Juno min9 pad inhaling through a resonant lowpass into dark dub delay.Sixteen TwentyHuerco S. phase-loop bed — a glass chord pad and a melodic fragment captured into three free-wrapping loops of mismatched lengths, drifting in and out of phase over minutes through a dark reverb fog.Fehlmann's FaultPole-style crackle dub — broken-circuit crackle keeps time for the hats, a dry 45Hz Marbles-plucked sub underneath, and 100ms minor stabs that only exist as dark delay repeats.Something SwungDeadbeat-style dub house — swung four-on-floor under an m7/9 pad breathing through a resonant lowpass, delay feedback swelling toward self-oscillation, A1 drone sub and tape hiss underneath.Skeng PressureThe Bug halftime — a 40Hz sub ring-modulated against an 80Hz square for growling pressure bass, 70-feel broken drums tuned low and punchy, a Marbles-gated speech toast in dotted-eighth delay, and 150ms siren stabs.Version ExcursionGenerative dub techno — Marbles-fired noise blips excite a 3-voice plate resonator retuned by a near-locked Turing register, every ping versioned through 0.75-feedback delay over a 128 BPM four-on-floor and an A1 sub.Panorama 4AMDeep house at closing time — Cassy register. 122 BPM heartbeat kick, swung rolled-off hats, an Am7 pad breathing through a lowpass into clock-thrown dotted-eighth delay.Grey Munich BrokenBroken techno — Ilian Tape register. 135 BPM swung breaks under glass-sphere chord stabs that a beat repeater slices and a dull 4kHz delay swallows. Static sine floor, tape hiss.Königsforst FogGAS register — a wide harmonic drone dissolved through shimmer reverb into reverb-on-reverb fog, minutes-long drift from an LFO bank, and a kick buried under the forest floor.Wet ChamberAtobe-register dub techno — soft 808 four-four under a watery min7/9 chorus pad, every repeat darker than the last.Dull RoarPendant-register sub-pressure fog — a 2-op FM sub drone smeared through endless granular, sparse inharmonic flourishes ringing into a long tail.Cluster DriftJóhannsson-register elegiac drone — a massed string cluster in a long dark hall, a bowed voice near-dry in front, a rare diatonic note once a minute.Cassette HouseHuerco S.-register lo-fi outsider house — a broken humanised 4/4 through dark tape echo, a buried glass pad and sub-bass phasing against each other over minutes.London ZooThe cortex-drive debut — halftime dread-weight dub. A folded 40Hz sub and a hard-clipped 80Hz bark ride a slow filter wob under broken 808 drums, with an air-raid siren swelling over the top.ProblèmesThe italo unlock — the cortex-sequencer debut. A rising C-major arp with 25ms Juno-chorus width, an E1/E2 acid octave-gallop bass, and 808 four-on-the-floor with off-beat open hats. All three sample-locked to one 122 BPM transport.Rings Into CloudsThe eurorack ambient meme, literal — a Marbles-fired noise burst pings a plate resonator whose ring is stretched into an endless granular cloud and dissolved in dark tape reverb. Beatless.Buchla BongoThe LPG percussion canon — two FM bongos a fourth apart, each struck through a vactrol low-pass gate by interlocking Euclidean gates (E(5,8) and E(3,8) rotated) at ~110 BPM. West-Coast sparse.Serge CycleThe Serge DUSG cycling idiom — a looping self-similar rise-fall contour is the rhythm, sweeping a harmonic sphere while a quantized random-walk glides a voice through D dorian. Contours as time, no clock.First LightThe Emily Sprague / Lightbath register — a soft orchestral pad and a Marbles pentatonic melody breathing under one lfo-bank and a long dark echo. Small rig, infinite afternoon. Beatless.Krell StructureThe self-generative canon. A looping envelope draws each note's rise-fall contour and its end-of-cycle gate clocks a sample-and-hold through a minor-pentatonic quantizer — every swell a new pitch, committed exactly at the contour boundary. A second slow envelope breathes the dark echo open underneath.Panorama ThrowsA stereo-motion demo: a minor-seventh dub stab thrown across the panorama with its own 500ms delay. A 0.05 Hz LFO sweeps the chord's pan the full width of the field; each clock-gated stab lands somewhere new and its dark dub tail rings on from there. Sub and pulse stay anchored dead-centre.Slope StudyThe cortex-stages debut — its two idioms side by side: a looping slope group as a low complex-oscillator drone through a dark echo, and a one-shot slope envelope ring-VCA'd onto a West-Coast plaits voice through Warps. Beatless study register.Found TapeThe cortex-sampler debut — the self-rendered bureau-01 bank as a Space Afrika found-sound collage: broken percussion fragments round-robined by a Euclidean gate and a Marbles coin-toss, a tape-slow chord loop scanned by a slow LFO, all through a v2 wow/flutter/crinkle echo and a crackle bed.
